NORTH STREET SCHOOL SUMMER 2026 READING PROGRAM
🌊 Get Ready to Dive Into Reading at North Street!
Grab your goggles, North Street families — it's time to Dive Into Reading! Our brand-new water-themed summer reading program is taking K–5 kids on a deep dive through puddles, rivers, oceans, and everything wet and wonderful in between. Students will log every book they read, pick a fun project to show off what they learned, and tackle Deep Sea Reading Challenges for extra credit — all while racking up books so good they might actually beg for "five more minutes" at bedtime.
📖 Log it: Track every book read this summer — title, author, genre, and a star rating
🎨 Make a splash: Choose a suggested project, from a My Water Book for our youngest readers to a Habitat Compare-and-Contrast Essay for our older students in grades 3–5
🤿 Go deeper: Complete Deep Sea Reading Challenges for extra credit — read aloud to a pet, read outside, explore a new culture, or dive into nonfiction
💛 Share the love: Tell us about (or draw!) your favorite book of the summer

Completed logs are due back to the office by September 9th to win a prize — so grab a book, take the plunge, and get ready to Dive Into Reading! 🐠🐙
